PECHAKUCHA NIGHT!

Creative Santa Fe presents a storytelling series around the theme "Strange."  The 20x20 format goes like so: each speaker gets

20 images for 20 seconds each, or 400 seconds to guide the audience through their relationship to the topic.

Director Erica Nguyen explores the motivations behind her film Phantom Roots- revisiting her early years as a daughter of one uneven pair of chopsticks. The clash between Christian school uniforms and riding on the back of dad's motorcycle as a family of 4.

Listening to Vietnamese New Wave while driving past the Nambe Pueblo Kiva for work. Discovering an old book of poetry contains the same verses in her grandma's letters. And how she's on a mission to stage a performance with floating puppets

in the rice fields of Vietnam.
